CARNEGIE'S great gift to aid in establishing World Peace --the
beautiful temple at the Hague -- fills me with hope that I may yet live to
see the noontide of the day of Universal Peace, the dawn of which is now
breaking, and I offer these thoughts, hoping that they may hasten that
hour.
I
address them to you three great War Lords, serving the Prince of Peace,
because I know that if even one of them could see the matter as I do,
wonderful good would result, and if all of you would come out for national
disarmament, there would be no more war.
I
take you to be Christians, as you profess.
If
you could understand your Master's teachings and see how the world would
be lifted up by the establishment of the Brotherhood of Man, you would
strive for Universal Peace with all your zeal and power.
If
you three Sovereigns act in concert, there will be no appeal from your
decree and Micah's prophecy will come true.
